We had an amazing school trip to Paradise Wildlife Park!

BEWARE! Some very scary creatures were hatching out of the eggs...! We went back in time to explore Dino World, being careful not to be eaten by a T-Rex! We saw wolves, snow leopards, tigers, otters, meerkats and much more. We had a really lovely day, but were very tired by the end of it!

It's been Sports week at St Peters and what a fun week we have had! We had a Fencing assembly, where we learnt some of the basic moves and had a fab demonstration from two members of our class. We also had a soft play morning where we had lots of fun jumping on the bouncy castle and space hoppers, and playing in the ball pit. We have continued to practise for Sports Day, this week working on our throwing skills, and dribbling the football around the cones. Well done everyone!

We have had another super week in Year 1. We have been learning to tell the time, and learning language such as 'clockwise' and 'anticlockwise'. We have also talked about quarter, half and three quarter turns (ready to learn about fractions!) The children made some fantastic clocks, making sure the numbers were in the right place, and differentiating between the minute and hour hands. Well done everyone!

We have had a great week back at school! In PE we have loved starting Athletics in preparation for Sports Day which we are very excited about! We have been practising our running skills and hand eye co-ordination by doing relay races, making sure we are ready to pass the baton!

Year 1 have had a busy, festive week this week. We have made Christmas decorations, Christmas cards and had a festive party complete with games and party food. To top it off, we have enjoyed a very yummy Christmas lunch!
