The main contractors on site, Apex, are checked by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS checked) to ensure they are fit to be working near children. This information has been shared with the school. Everybody working on the building site wears numbered jackets for ease of identification and Apex also supervise sub-contractors.
Heavy lorries will only be allowed onto the site at set times to avoid drop off and pick up times. Apex also provide a banksman, somebody whose job is to marshal traffic on and off the site and keep people on foot ie staff and pupils safe.
