At St. Peter's, we follow the ELS phonics scheme which children begin in Reception. Please click the link to find out more about the scheme and look at the resources below for ideas of how to support your child at home.

Phase 3 resources for home:

Below is a selection of activities to support your child with phase 3. If it is a reading activity, encourage them to spot and say the digraph before reading the word. When writing, ask them to orally rehearse the sentence before e.g. 'It is red'. Repeat the sentence with each word to help them to keep track. If needing to include a digraph, think of the rhyme to help them to remember what the digraph looks like.
