Safeguarding

At St Peter's School we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and we require all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment.

In order to effectively safeguard our pupils in all contexts, we are committed to the continued professional development of our staff team. All staff receive statutory training and updates linked to Keeping Children Safe in Education, First Aid (including Paediatric) and Health and Safety. We have a dedicated members of staff who, with the correct paperwork and parental permissions, is able to administer medication on site.

Online Safety

At St Peter's School, we spend a lot of time-sharing the importance of being safe online with the children as the access and use of digital devices becomes ever-increasing in our current world. We start each Autumn term focusing our computing lessons on 'E-safety'. We recap they ways that the children can remain safe whilst online and provide them with scenarios that allow for great and crucial discussions.
