Summer Term 2026

Science

In science, we’ve been learning about chromatography to help us understand reversible and irreversible changes. Pupils experimented with separating colours and observed how some mixtures can be undone while others cannot.

PSHE

We have been using the NSPCC PANTS resources to discuss 'consent' and today we focused on 'Respectful' and 'Disrespectful' Behaviour. We created our own definition of what respectful behaviour looks like for us.

Spring Term 2026

Art

In Art, we’ve been exploring the intricate world of printmaking. Unlike a standard drawing, these patterns were created using reduction blocks. Take a look at our designs!

Geography

In Geography we have been exploring Fair Trade. We looked at how trade connects us to people in countries like Ghana, Colombia, and St Lucia. By learning about imports, exports, and food miles, we discovered how the Fairtrade movement helps protect farmers from being underpaid.

Science

In Science this week, we’ve been timing how fast sugar dissolves! We experimented with different conditions to see what speeds up the process. We compared stirring vs. not stirring, warm water vs. cold water, and even sugar cubes vs. granules.

DT

We created some prototypes of our paper structures in DT. We were exploring different paper folding techniques to ensure our structure held its form and could support any added weight.

Friday 3rd October -

In our RE lessons, we have been exploring the rules in both Christianity and Judaism. We explored the Ten Commandments and came up with our own for the class. We then created some Mezuzahs, linking to Jewish tradition where these are placed on doorposts as a reminder to follow the teachings of the Torah. This helped us reflect on how rules guide behaviour and how faith can be expressed through everyday symbols.

Handmade Mezuzahs

Friday 26th September -

We have been lucky enough to have Drama lessons from the Drama teacher and some 6th Formers from St Alban's Boy School. We have played a range of games including One Word Story, creating freeze frames, mini scenes and Grandma's Footsteps with an acting twist! It has been fantastic to see the children fully embrace these sessions.

Our new website is officially up and running. Check back for updates on our learning over the year!
